1.12: Babies!

"I'm pregnant."

Dalton just stood there staring with a tight lipped smile. A million thoughts going through his head, finally he spoke up. "Are you sure?"

Marilyn nodded, "It started earlier."

"While you were bobbing for apples, I found Jesse. We stood around talking when suddenly he bent down and started rubbing and putting his ear to my stomach, ultimately I wanted to beat his head in."
"Jesse this isn't very funny, what are you doing?"

"I'm listening to my little niece or nephew." He stated nonchalantly.

Marilyn stopped for a second. "I'm not pregnant Jesse, I can't have kids."

"Well that doctor was wrong because I know a pregnant belly when I see one, my girlfriends pregnant. Oh yeah, congratulations you're gonna be a mommy and an aunt."

"A mommy and an aunt?" It was slowly sinking in. "You're gonna be a father? Oh my! Congratulations!"

"And so I rode home as soon as possible and took a test. It was positive." Dalton obviously wasn't listening, he was trying too hard to listen to his child. They stood like that for quite a while, Marilyns back started to hurt but she didn't want to ruin Daltons mood.

When Dalton did come up, he looked at Marilyn with the most loving face.

"That's my baby in there?" He looked and sounded like a small child. Hes always dreamed of having a baby and now that it was finally happening he didn't know what to do. Someone he could cuddle and take care of every time he or she cried. Sure he loved Leon like he was his own and this new baby wouldn't change that at all, but it changed Dalton at least a little.

After hugs and pictures and other happy things, Marilyn helped Leon wash his face of that blueberry pie. She made sure he understood what was going on and that they still loved him very very much, nothing would change. Being the mature young boy he was, he understood and was actually excited for the baby seeing as he would be a teen soon and would be able to help out. She thanked him and sent him to bed so she and Dalton could get some rest.
Going to bed seemed useless since she woke up just a few hours later with sharp pains.

"AHHHHHHHH!" Marilyn screamed and clenched her stomach, she was in labor already? "Dalton! Wake up!"

"My word woman, what's with all the screaming? Don't you know how to let someone sleep." He said groggily and unaware of what was actually happening.

"I'm in labor you idiot!"

Now that's when he started freaking out. "Labor?! What do we do?!"

"Get me a cab moron! Ahh!" Even though she was in pain and pop a kid out she still had time to call her husband names.

"Cab? No sweetheart you know I can't do that, we are not going to contribute to killing the planet."

"If you don't get me a cab, you won't have to worry about killing the planet because I'm going to kill you!" Marilyn screamed then calmed down. "Fine lets just go before this thing comes out here."

They both changed into their winter clothes, Marilyn was a lot faster than Dalton. She tried to wait for him without insulting him every step of the way, well the ones he could hear.

So Marilyn hopped on her bike while Dalton rode his broomstick. She gritted her teeth, thankfully the hospital wasn't too far away and she wouldn't have to pull over and have the kid on the side of the street.

She took a second before walking in the hospital. It was suddenly so big and scary, especially for five in the morning. Her life was about to change, but Dalton was right behind her and would always be there when she needed him.

-----------
Turns out the hospital is extremely sleepy and quite at five in the morning, well it was until Marilyn arrived. Between her screaming at Dalton for being an idiot and screaming at the child for not hurrying up, no one was left asleep. Poor Dalton was a trooper until he made the mistake of getting too close to Marilyn and she almost ripped his ear off.
And a good hour and a half later Marilyn came walking out with a baby girl. She was sleepy and half dead, but she was extremely happy to have her baby in her arms.

Dalton arranged for a cab to come pick them up seeing that it was actually cold outside and he didn't want his little girl out in this weather. He couldn't wait to get home.

So this was the scene when they got home.

"Man, I'm hungry. Who wants pancakes?" Dalton yawned not noticing his wifes near panic attack.

Oh plumbob. There's a baby in my arms, it's mine right? Yeah I think I just gave birth to it, I need sleep. Wait. He's worried about food when we've little monster?? We'll never be able to raise this child! Marilyn stared bug-eyed at her daughter, still shocked that she brought home a child that would probably be the devils spawn once she hit teenage years.

Though once her little angel giggled and smiled at Marilyn, she forgot everything she was just thinking.

"I love you, Willow." She whispered then fed and placed her daughter in her crib so she could eat and get some sleep of her own.

----------
It had been a few days and Willow had grown up a bit to be a cute little green haired toddler who was very attached to her father.
"So do you think he's gonna like sharing a room with Willow? I mean he has no choice but do you think it'll be okay?"

"Mar will you calm down, he's a toddler. He will be fine where ever."

The new baby was coming today and Marilyn was in fits trying to make sure everything was perfect while Dalton could care less. He just wanted to finish a spell he was working on.

"Oh there he is!" Marilyn ran down the stairs when she heard a knock at the door.

"Hello there baby boy!" She smiled at the bouncing toddler. "Dalton!" Marilyn yelled for her husband as she moved towards the stairs, she wanted him to meet their new son.

"This is Asher." Marilyn smiled as Dalton wrinkled his nose. "What's wrong?"

"Why does this boy smell like wet dog? And that hair, we will have to do something about that." He took closer look at Asher and nearly gasped when he realized why their son smelled funny. "You are not holding a baby, you're holding a puppy."

Marilyn just stared at her husband who had clearly went bonkers. "What? Are you insane?"

"No Marilyn that thing is a werewolf! We can't raise that."

"Dalton, I am going to hit you if you don't calm down and take that back."

Dalton took a second and weighted his options, Marilyn really did hit hard.

"Alright maybe he's a little cute, though we are doing something about his hair. No respectable Sim goes around with wild hair like that." He smiled at the little boy. Marilyn just shook her head, she could already tell  he wasn't going to do anything about Ashers hair.

She set Asher down and smiled. Her babies were completely adorable. One green haired, green eyed, fair skinned suspected witch, who was the spitting image of her father. One copper haired, golden eyed, tanned skinned werewolf. Willow made movements towards Dalton mumbling daddy and whining while Asher just grinned. Then it hit Marilyn, she had two babies! Three kids in all but two little ones that would depend on her for everything. How was she gonna survive this?

~~~~~~~~~~
The wait is over! Gosh Willow is really cute, and really does look like Dalton in my opinion. Asher seems to be an adorable little boy too. Though poor Leon, the sweetest one in that family, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him.
Marilyn killed me with that bug-eyed look every time she would hold Willow, I don't understand it.
1.11: Announcement.
Leon had woken up the next morning before his parents and decided to summon some breakfast so Dalton didn't have to make anything. The contractors were already working on adding to the house for the knew baby. Leon was pretty excited to have one of the upstairs bedrooms.
"You're looking great today, mom." He smiled, noticing her new outfit.
"Thank you, and yes we are still going to the Fall Festival later so the contract guys can finish." Marilyn knew the only reason he complimented her was so they'd still go to the festival. "Breakfast was delicious, thank you Leon." She messed up his hair as she walked by to put her plate in the sink.
----------
As soon as they got to the Fall Festival Leon ran to the face painting booth, he was getting a pumpkin on his face.
Marilyn went to check out the Haunted House. She stopped and shuddered a little at the faerie statue, recalling her conversation with her brother. She was thankful there wasn't many fae in town.
She came out of the Haunted House and stretched. Too easy, She thought, whoever designed that must be a coward. She went on with her business like nothing happened, sadly Dalton didn't think it was that easy later on when he tried it.
Meanwhile Dalton was bobbing for apples with his son cheering him on happily. For some reason he was the only one in this contest but no matter he still went for it.
After Dalton got his face painted, the boys went to go take some pictures in the photo booth. This was turning out to be another father and son day.
As the night got colder, our favorite leading men had a pie eating contest between the two of them. With no surprise Leon was victorious, he was very smug about too. Dalton ran off puking afterwards and declared it was time to find Mar and go home.
When they couldn't find her, they went home. Once they walked in the door they found Marilyn sitting alone, rubbing her hands. She looked so anxious and vulnerable.
"Mar, what's going on?" Dalton asked nervously, he hated seeing her like that. Marilyn jumped when she heard Dalton.
Marilyn stood up and turned to face her husband and child. She placed her hands gently on her stomach and smiled.
"I'm pregnant."
~~~~~~~~~~
Guys, I'm extremely ready for this kid. I hate waiting >_<
The next chapter might be short like this one or I'm going to combine two chapters I have planned, not sure.
It's currently one something in the morning on my game and the baby is probably gonna come about 5 or so, I'm hoping I can get the shots I want so the next chapter won't be choppy.

1.10: Fall

The air had a slight nip to it lately as the first days of fall arrived. The night Marilyn had met her brother again, after years of no communication, she decided just to give her husband the watered down version of that night, only telling him that she had seen him, they talked a bit, and that he was staying there in Starlight Shores. He was completely oblivious since the cold air had made all of his plants dormant, that was nothing new, the cold air might be stopping his garden for a season or two but he was about to have another joy in his life.
----------

It's five o'clock in the morning! What is going on with me?! Marilyn moaned and groaned before running off to the bathroom to puke once again. It had been happening almost every night/early morning, for the past week or so, it was getting old.

----------
"Mar, honey, what are you wearing?" Dalton decided to point out as soon as everyone sat down that morning.

"I have no clue what you're talking about dear." Marilyn said tight lipped, not looking up at her irritating husband.

Dalton just grinned. "Now sugar, I know the reason you're wearing that ridiculous outfit is because you've been gaining a little weight. I mean it looks good on you and I love you all the same, but maybe you should try to make it less noticeable or go work out."

Leon just sat there awkwardly watching his parents have one of their famous passive-aggressive arguments while Marilyn stopped suddenly stunned by what her husband just said.

  "Excuse me?! Did you just call me fat? Is that what I just heard come out of your mouth?" Marilyn gave him 'the stare' challenging him to answer her question.

Sadly Dalton took that challenge, and Leon shoveled breakfast down his throat to catch his bus and get out of this awkward situation.

"Yes, that is exactly what I said. Go workout and eat less."

"I really just want to strangle you right now. Leon close your eyes, I don't want you to see mommy killing your father." Marilyn seriously contemplated wrapping her hands around Dalton's scrawny neck. Though he didn't seemed to be phased by it at all and actually enjoyed.
----------
Later on that day Sadie came over to do her check up on Leon and to talk about Marilyn and Dalton adopting again. She brought her new born daughter with her, Marilyn was quickly drawn to the child.

 "Awww who's a pretty little darling? You are!" Marilyn cooed and giggled over Sadie's daughter. "You're so lucky, I wish she was mine." She smiled at the wore out looking Sadie, she didn't realize the work it was to have your own child yet.

"Oh Sadie you just sit down and relax, we'll take care of Elena." Marilyn smiled and started to stand up from her chair.

"There's really no need, I can take care of her myself." Sadie said softly, she hated working and carrying her baby around but she had no one else to take care of her.

"We have this, besides Dalton needs the practice." Marilyn stood up to had baby Elena off to her clapping idiot of a husband.

"Yay! I get to hold baby Elena!" He grinned and happily took the baby and walked away.

Sadie whispered and smiled. "You two have such a happy marriage."

"Come on baby Elena, lets get you away from those batty old women. You're so pretty, I want one just like you." He kissed the top of her nose, making both of them giggle. Sadie couldn't help but be worried with Dalton holding her child.

"Aww is someone hungry?" He asked Sadie for a bottle then continued to coo over the baby while he fed her. The women were talking but he couldn't hear them over the T.V. and didn't care too much to try. It wasn't any of his business to listen to girl gossip.

The women talked for the longest time, Dalton didn't mind though since he was holding a baby. Marilyn's phone started to ring and she got up.

"Well it seems I have to go, I have some jobs waiting for me. Thank you for your time, I'll call the contractors out tonight and we'll hopefully get expanding." She quickly said then ran to her room to change and left the house.

"Where'd my wife go?" Dalton turned around stunned to see Mar gone.

"She went to work. Hows my baby?"

"She's perfect." He grinned and played with her chubby cheeks. "Leon's home, I'm just gonna go play with your baby somewhere else."

"So Leon, how do you like it here? Have any chores or activities?"

"I like to clean. I take out the trash when it gets full or when mom tells me to. Dad doesn't mind a messy house, he likes to garden and we go search for bugs and other ingredients." Leon continued happily talking about garbage and how he uses his powers to clean the house.

"So how are your studies?"

Leon took a moment to think. "My grades are good I think, my parents tell me good job all the time so I think that's good. I want to join a club, but I don't know which one yet." And that's when she lost his mind to the T.V., he normally doesn't get to watch it so it was distracting.

Dalton finally came back into the living room as Sadie was leaving, he reluctantly handed Elena over to her mother.

"Well Leon seems happy and as soon as the other little boy is a toddler we'll arrange a meeting. I hope you guys get to expanding quickly, this house is becoming a little too small."
Dalton just smiled not registering what she just said. "Wait what? Expanding? Another little boy? When did this happen?" He looked confused.

"Dad, the T.V.s broken!"

"Wait till your mother gets home son, go work on your homework." He said to Leon then looked back at Sadie but she was already leaving.

"I don't know what your fascination with bugs is, but please for the love of Plumbob don't bring any around your mother." Dalton and Leon were having one of their nightly conversations over Dalton making dinner.

"Yeah, yeah. Careful dad that spaghetti's gonna burn."

"Hey dad, is mom pregnant?" Leon asked randomly.

"Pregnant? Where did you get that idea?"

Leon shrugged, "Well she has been gaining some weight and I hear her throwing up all the time since my room is near the bathroom. She said her back was hurting earlier too."

That made Dalton stop and think for a few minutes. Had their dream come true? While he was thinking the spaghetti was burning like Leon warned. Though nothing could kill the good mood he was in now.

Thankfully Leon had a power no one knew about and after he cleaned the house he summoned up some food. They ate quietly, the only talking was Dalton warning Leon not to tell Marilyn about the food and him thanking Leon for the delicious dinner. Dalton was mostly in his own little world, lost in the thoughts of babies and diapers. He had to start being a little nicer to Marilyn.

~~~~~~~~~~
Oh Dalton. He's such a fun character to write, even though he likes to forget half the things I tell him to do. Though I really wanted to show his lovingness when it came to babies.(Even though Sadie bringing a child was completely unplanned.)
It has almost been confirmed that Marilyn may be pregnant! I hope it's a witch like Dalton or he'd have a panic attack.
1.9: Big Brother.
"Jessie Stewart White. What are you doing here?" Marilyn repeated the question a little more strongly when her brother continued to sit there and smile like an idiot instead of answering.
 Jessie finally stood up, only to get the lecture of a lifetime.
"I cannot believe you had the guts to show up at my show unannounced after years of not talking, or visiting! Who do you think you are?! Mom and dad said they hadn't spoken to you in years either, what's that about?"
"Well hello, and nice to see you too sis."
Oh but Marilyn wasn't done.
"Oh yeah great to see you too! It was awesome to see you at my wedding or at anyone else's wedding or when dad was in the hospital. Great memories!"
"Whoa Mar, can we talk calmly?"
"No, we can not! I still need to yell at you because you really hurt me! I hated you so much, you were selfish and an idiot and mean and a big jerk! By the way you aren't exactly a teen anymore, learn to dress like it."
Now she was done.
Jessie gave her a once over and scowled.
"Well you're one to talk about attire with that dress. Are you an aspiring vocalist or the lady of the night? I can't believe your goof of a husband let you out in that, oh what am I kidding he probably doesn't even notice you're gone."
"Hey! You have no right to talk about Dalton like that, only I can. Yes, he's a goof, but he's my lovable goof. Can you just explain why you are here then go away again?"
"I'm glad you asked little sister, but first I must tell you why I've been gone so long." He paused and waited for her head nod of approval before continuing. "I've been off on secret business investigating the fae. Well the dark fae. Either way, just stay away from the faeries with the dark coloured wings, they've been proving to be bad news. We don't have any proof that the light winged fae are a threat or even a bother to investigate, but I'd be weary of them too."
"Secret investigation? You are one of the best con artists in the world, right after mom, and that's all you could come up with? Come on Jessie, give me the truth. My guess is that you were using your skills to pick up young ladies who fall into your trap."
"It's the truth! Don't bring the family business into this little sister, though my skills are the reason I got the assignment in the first place. My job has no need for thieves like yourself, just con artists and spies."
"I am not-" Marilyn stopped and looked at herself in the mirror. She saw the need of stealing start to creep up on her. The hands that had quickly stolen anything from candy bars to gems, they had been through so much. Just because her brother was in town didn't mean she had to go back to that life.
"Mar? Earth to Marilyn, is anyone home?" Jessie looked curiously at his sister.
"Huh? Oh yeah sorry." Marilyn looked at him like he was a stranger.
 "Like I was saying, I am not a thief anymore. I refuse to bring that into my family, you will not go anywhere near my children with these wild stories. Understand?"
"Oh but darling you would have made the best con artist, you're so pretty. I don't understand why you had to be like the other boys and choose the boring life of a thief." He smiled at the mention of her children. "So I'm an uncle? Oh this is great! I must meet them and tell them everything."
"My soul. Did you not just hear a word I said? No telling them of our family you idiot. Besides, right now you have one nephew and he's my adopted son, Leon."
"I can't wait to meet the little guy!"
"Not until you promise not to tell him anything."
 "Oh dear sister, I will do your bidding and keep my mouth shut!" He shouted as if he was a little intoxicated. "I hope that you may look in your black heart and forgive me for I am deeply sorrowful for the pain I have caused."
"You are an idiot. Yes I forgive you, moron."
"Thank you so much, I really have missed you." He closed his eyes and whispered. "Don't forget what I said about the fae, sis, please."
~~~~~~~~~~
Alright so this was more of informational post that will hopefully shine some light on Marilyns background. Also it'll be needed for future posts. I'm so ready for my legacy to speed up a bit, I have so much more interesting things planned.
Also, I'm terrible with dialogue, excuse me.
